Website Analytics

Website Analytics

Website Analytics helps you understand how visitors discover and interact with your marketing site, landing pages, and public-facing content.

Key Features

  • Automatic Page View Tracking — Every page visit captured automatically
  • Traffic Source Attribution — UTM parameters and referrer tracking
  • Geographic Insights — See where your visitors come from
  • Entry & Exit Pages — Understand user journeys through your site

Website Analytics Dashboard

The pre-built dashboard shows:

  • New Visitors — Unique first-time visitors over time
  • Signups — Track conversions from visitor to user
  • Traffic Sources — Table showing where your traffic comes from, with visitor counts, conversions, conversion rate, session duration, and bounce rate
  • All Visitors — List of individual visitors with device ID, source, session info, page views, last active time and session replay
  • Entry Pages — Which pages visitors land on first
  • Top Pages — Most viewed pages on your site

Use the filters at the top to narrow down by date range, hostname, or device type.

Custom Reports

Create website-focused reports from the Reports page:

  1. Click New Report
  2. Choose a report type
  3. Configure filters
  4. Save

Context Setting

To track website analytics separately from product usage, set the context when initializing:

overcentric.init('YOUR_PROJECT_ID', {
  context: 'website'
});

This ensures website visits appear in the Website Analytics dashboard rather than Product Analytics. See Understanding Context for more details.

Tracking Signups

Use the reserved $signup event to track conversions:

overcentric.trackEvent('$signup', {
  plan: 'free',
  source: 'pricing_page'
});

This populates the signup metrics in your Website Analytics dashboard automatically.
